The Louisiana School Employees’ Retirement System Board of Trustees is responsible for the prudent investment of all plan assets. The Board of Trustees hires qualified Investment Management firms to assist in fulfilling this responsibility, selecting firms that have specific expertise in a given asset class or category.  LSERS currently has 24 managers in 5 major asset classes that have a collective staff that holds six (6) PHD’s and twenty-seven (27) MBA’s.  There are also twenty-four (24) Chartered Financial Analysts (CFA’s) specifically assigned to managing LSERS’ assets.

One hundred percent (100%) of LSERS’s assets are managed externally by these professional managers.
